Off-leash Dog Training

Freedom with structure. Recall you can trust.

This isn’t “let your dog run loose.” It’s a calm recall system built step-by-step: long line → proofing → off-leash readiness (when appropriate).

Recall cue + turn Check-ins Distraction proofing Long line mastery

Honest note: some dogs are safest as long-line dogs. That’s still real freedom — and a win.

Safety-first

We don’t skip steps. We don’t “test” dogs. We earn reliability.

Clear system

No random tips. You get simple rules you can repeat.

Short update

After each session: what improved + what to repeat next.

Outcomes

What we build (in plain English)

The goal isn’t “perfect.” The goal is predictable behaviour under real distractions.

Recall that cuts through “noise”

A cue your dog understands + chooses, not a word they ignore when something better happens.

Check-ins + re-engagement

Voluntary “I’m with you” moments — so freedom stays connected.

Proofing (the part people skip)

Dogs, scents, movement, distance. We build reliability in layers.

Long-line mastery (still freedom)

If off-leash isn’t appropriate, we create the safest version of freedom instead.

Why this works

Off-leash isn’t a vibe — it’s criteria

Most “off-leash training” fails because it jumps to freedom without building proofed habits.

Random off-leash attempts
Jurassic Barks approach
“He’s usually fine”
Measured progress + clear rules
Recall works until it doesn’t
Proofing around distractions (layered)
Off-leash becomes the goal
Safety + long-line freedom if needed
Owners feel unsure
Simple system you repeat

We’ll be honest: if your dog isn’t a fit for full off-leash (right now), we say it.

How it works

A simple system that creates reliable recall

Off-leash isn’t a “goal” we rush. It’s something your dog earns through repeatable habits. We build it safely: long line first, then we add distractions, then we decide what freedom is realistic.

1

Quick fit check (message)

You tell us your dog’s age + what they ignore you for (dogs, scents, bikes, birds, etc.). We reply with a clear yes/no if this is a fit and what we’d start with.

2

Long line foundations (the safest start)

We build a recall cue your dog actually chooses, plus “check-ins” so your dog stays connected while exploring. Long line = freedom with safety.

3

Proofing (where reliability is built)

We gradually add the real distractions that usually break recall: distance, movement, other dogs, exciting smells. No rushing.

4

Freedom plan (honest + realistic)

We decide the safest outcome: full off-leash (rare but possible), long-line freedom (common + great), or structured on-leash for certain environments.

5

You get the “what to do next” notes

After each session you get a short message: what improved, what to repeat, and the 1–2 rules that matter most. Simple enough to stick to.

Our promise

We won’t hype “off-leash” if it’s not safe. We build the best version of freedom your dog can handle — and we keep it calm and structured.

Fit

Who this is for

Dogs who can learn to choose you again — even when the world is exciting.

Great fit if…

• Your dog has food/play motivation
• They explore but can re-engage with support
• You want a system you can repeat
• You care more about safety than ego

Not the right fit (for now)

• Serious bolt/run-off history
• High prey drive that overrides recall
• Unsafe behaviour around triggers

If this is you: we can still build long-line freedom + safer routines.

Next step

Get a quick yes/no on fit

Message us your dog’s recall story — we’ll recommend the safest plan (and the right option).
